Blogs and blogging

Hey all
So what exactly is blogging? Where does that word come from? That is the question i\'ve been asking myself. As far as I can tell it\'s spewing out random thoughts, in the hope that someone out there will find it and read it. Kind of like a online diary, but much less private. Hmmmm....
